As soon as Spider read “How Gerda, Who Was Strong, Made Pretzels of All Kinds,” he demanded zee biggest, chewiest, warmest pretzel of all time! After I made him zee recipe on page 17 of zees month’s Spider, he demanded another, and another, until I became worried zat he would turn into a pretzel himself. I was desperate for more recipes! And zen I laid my eyes on Honest Pretzels, a cookbook made especially for kids.
Even zee pickiest eaters will find something to love in zis huge cookbook. Zere are easy recipes like Corn Muffins and Garlic Bread, crazy recipes like Peas with Butter and Mint, Giant Baked Pancake Puff, and Purple Passion Power Shake, and délicieux recipes like Made-in-the-Pan Chocolate Cake zat will have everybuggy coming back for seconds (and thirds—ahem, Spider).
Of course, zere eez also a recipe for Honest Pretzels. But I will not let Spider have any more until he finishes his peas!
