What's Everybuggy Reading: Sam

Tips and Tricks for Junior Detectives

by Thomas Brezina
Scholastic Books, 2001

Were you as impressed as I was by the daring detectives in this month’s Spider? Iggy and Sal really know their stuff! So do the Alligators, four very cool kid detectives. Luckily, they decided to share their techniques in this fantastic book!

I learned so much. Now I know how to write secret messages to all my buggy friends, how to take secret pictures, and how to find evidence at a crime scene—even fingerprints! The second I finish this, I’m going to find out if Spider’s the buggy who broke my nose-hair-counting machine.

But be warned! Detective work is serious business. Make sure you’re paying close attention, because there’s a test at the end of this book! I want everybuggy to know that I passed the test with flying colors. I guess that means I’m a real detective now—just call me Sam, P.I. (Private Investigator)! Are you going to be a detective, too? Don’t forget to study hard!
