All the elephants in this month’s Spider reminded me of one of my favorite series: the Babar books. Have you read them? They’re about a family of elephants who live in a town called Celesteville. Babar and Celeste are king and queen of the town. They have four children. Isabelle, the youngest elephant, is especially spunky—she reminds me of Sonya!
In this book, Babar’s family experiences the changing seasons. The children pick pumpkins in the fall, go sledding in the winter, plant flowers in the spring, and splash in the pond during the summer. It’ll make you excited for all of the seasons ahead! You might even get some ideas for springtime activities. For example, you can try to find daffodils to make a bouquet, or search for a nest of baby birds.
