The Wind (Poetry Contest)
Submitted by: Joseph M., 12, Diamond Bar, California
A gust of air sweeps the grass,
causing a ripple of grass
that grows into a wave.
The wind billows and flutters,
creating a zephyr that slowly
grows into a tumultuous whirlwind
that creates a chaotic convulsion,
a tornado, a windstorm,
a vortex of death
that slows and becomes a gentle breeze.
