Submitted by Thistle, age 99, I think, Spider Magazine, USA(March 31, 2009)Skateboards were invented by kids—as far back as the 1930s and 1940s, they attached the wheels from their roller skates to ordinary planks of wood. Sometimes they’d nail a milk crate to the board, with handles sticking out so they could steer.
