The Sea (Poetry Contest)

The Sea
The sea is peaceful, calm, and deep,
As if it's in a rolling sleep.
Yet the Pacific Ocean (or so I've read)
Is quite an active place instead.
The ever-shifting tectonic plates
Seem to move at very slow rates.
And around the amazing Ring of Fire
Volcanic eruption dates constantly expire.
And so, as you can plainly see,
The ocean is not what it seems to be.
