Magic Eggs

What You'll Need:

  • eggs (they can be hard-boiled or raw, but be careful—magic eggs still splatter)
  • white vinegarSpider magazine 2009 magic eggs
  • a clear bowl, jar, or glass

What to Do:

  1. Place the eggs inside the bowl, making sure they're not touching each other.
  2. Pour in enough vinegar to completely cover the eggs. Let them soak for at least 24 hours, and—ta-da!—you have your own magic eggs.

Tips for the Eggspert Magician:

If your magic eggs go a long enough time (we're talking 24 hours) without soaking in vinegar, their shells will become hard again.

If you made your magic eggs using raw eggs, try putting one of them in a bowl of water. What happens?
